Greetings Ballists & Cranks Alike!

The Seventh Annual Queen City Invitational Base Ball Festival will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the grounds of the Heritage Village & Museum in Sharon Woods Park, Cincinnati, Ohio. This festival, which is hosted by the Cincinnati Vintage Base Ball Club, will again demonstrate the fine sport and atmosphere of base ball as it was originally played, for the education and entertainment of all who wish to spectate. Teams from as far away as Boston, Mass., Chicago, Ill., Canton, Oh., and Huntington, Ind., will play our two home teams, the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings and the Cincinnati Buckeyes, in an exhibition of base ball as it was played in the year of the first all-professional team, the undefeated Red Stockings.
